Boy and girls, I figured it was about time I got off my lazy ass and wrote something... so this is it. I know, pathetic, but at least it's a start.

So, I just spent three days with my family on a vacation of absolute chaos. Since it has become our annual tradition, my family hosts a little camping get-together... except this time it wasn't so little. We invited about 30 groups (so one couple = one group), but an upward of about 50 people ended up at the campground by the second night. So not only was everyone drunk off their asses, myself included, but we ate ourselves sick, cooked ourselves silly, and played some bean-bag game till about four in the morning. Of course I can't forget the Frisbee golf, random games of hide-and-seek with six year-old(s), and whatever else I can't seem to remember.

Overall, it was a blast.

Therefore it is plausible to say that right now, I am on a very, very slow recharge. However a slow recuperation isn't in my foreseeable future. Why?

Because yesterday, in incredible heat, I pressure washed the paint and grime off an old (but massive) barn from dawn to about dusk. Now today, with the exception of my current lunch and water break, I get to paint the lovely piece of crap. So, using a Bil-Jax, pressurized painter, and my own blood, sweat, and tears, I get to paint something on the hottest day of the year.

How hot is it you ask?
Well it’s about 96 ˚F, with a dew point of 69˚, and best of all… *drum roll* 57% humidity, which pretty much means I’m swimming. Plus there’s a heat index 105˚…

Doesn’t it sound fun?

Putting the pain and agony aside, and the literal roasting of flesh, I am actually quite excited. You see, I am about to leave on an incredibly exciting trip Thursday, which is only two days away (Yay!). While all of my friends are stuck in the United States, I will be living it up in Australia for about two weeks. Thursday we leave to go to Chicago, spend one night, then Bam! I’m off to Australia in about a 24 hour flight. Once there I’m staying in Brisbane, then heading north and relaxing on a beach.

Thus, all this current pain and suffering is totally worth it.

Also, I’ll try and get on once I’m there, and keep you updated with pictures if I can.
